I use this radio primarily to listen to AM talk shows throughout the weekdays, and the reception is consistently good. One of my favorite features is the large blue display, which is easy on the eyes and very clear to read, even without glasses. The battery life is excellent—I listen for about five hours a day from Monday to Friday and only need to charge it once a week. It holds a charge well, although when it drops to two bars, the reception can get slightly staticky. FM stations come in crystal clear, though I haven’t tested the included earbuds since I don’t use it for music. The weather channel is a nice added feature, picking up one reliable station, which is really all you need. My only minor issue is that the clock resets every time the device is powered off, but since I didn’t buy it for its clock function and it’s easy to set, it’s not a big deal. Overall, it’s a solid radio with excellent performance

I purchased the Greadio radio primarily for NOAA, and I have to say the tuning and reception far exceeded my expectations. The sound is incredibly clear, and it’s surprisingly loud for such a compact device. The AM, FM, and WB reception perform well beyond what I anticipated. In fact, my $175 Eton Elite SW (a spin-off from Grundig) can’t even compare to the Greadio when it comes to reception. While the Eton may be slightly louder, it fails to pick up Air frequencies and only catches a few U/LSB channels, making it less reliable. Some of that can be attributed to modern digital encryption, but still, it doesn’t justify the poor performance. I’ve always struggled with reception in my area, being surrounded by pine and oak trees, yet this little pocket radio shocked me by pulling in all the local stations effortlessly. For those new to old-style transistor pocket radios, some might find the exposed volume and tuning dials inconvenient, but I think it’s a minor issue at best. Greadio has truly succeeded in creating a high-quality pocket radio with an upgraded DSP chip, all at an unbeatable price.
